From temporary worker to management role.

An interview with Josephin Botzke, Head of Fulfillment/Production at GOOD-STOCK, about responsibility, development opportunities and leadership at eye level.

When did you join GOOD-STOCK and what is your role in the company?

I have been a permanent employee at GOOD-STOCK since September 2013. I started back in January 2012 as a temporary worker.

Today, I am Head of Fulfillment/Production and, together with my team, I am responsible for all processes in production and fulfillment - from incoming goods to storage, picking and packing to shipping, returns, stocktaking and packing.

This also includes managing our teams and shift leaders, personnel and capacity planning and the continuous optimization of our processes.

When I look back on my career today, it shows me above all how important development opportunities, trust and cohesion can be within a company.

What characterizes you and your way of working?

I would say: determination, a thirst for knowledge and the ability to keep a cool head even in stressful situations.

Especially in day-to-day operations, it's important to remain flexible, prioritize correctly and find solutions together.

Patience and helpfulness are also particularly important to me when dealing with the team.

"It's important to me to remain approachable"

How would you describe your collaboration with the team?

Very personal and at eye level.

It is important to me to remain approachable and to communicate openly with my colleagues. Particularly in a dynamic environment, good collaboration only works if you support each other and take responsibility together.

Many challenges are best solved when everyone works together as a team.

What do you think makes GOOD-STOCK special?

Above all, the combination of humanity, flexibility and modern infrastructure.

At GOOD-STOCK, there are short decision-making paths, direct communication and the opportunity to develop pragmatic solutions - instead of rigidly adhering to standards.

In addition, there is a real understanding of e-commerce and B2B processes as well as close cooperation between the different departments.

It is precisely this mixture of technology and personal collaboration that makes the difference for me.

"No two days are the same - that makes the work exciting"

What makes GOOD-STOCK special for you personally?

Clearly the team spirit and the development opportunities.

I myself have built up my career here over many years and have been able to take on responsibility and develop step by step.

I also appreciate the diversity in the team and the dynamism in everyday life. No two days are the same - and that's what makes the work exciting.

And in your private life - what do you enjoy outside of work?

In my private life, I regularly play video games and particularly appreciate the strategic and team-oriented aspect.

I particularly enjoy the interplay of different roles, dynamics and decisions - and in a way, there are actually some parallels to everyday operations in fulfillment.
